What’s Gender Got To Do With It?

Organiser:
Amanda Gigler - Mama Cash

Feminists love justice, good food and good conversation. We are also acutely aware that social movements are increasingly interconnected. Gender and the environment. Women and food security. LGBTQI and labour rights. Gender Justice is a common thread in many people’s and groups’ experiences of the world. This dine around will be a space to strategise about how we are all dismantling patriarchy and building gender-just futures in our everyday work – within our organisations, through our programmes, and in our networks. Some of us will share practical examples, others will ask hard questions. All genders and peoples are welcome.

Participatory grantmaking

Organiser:
Dennis van Wanrooij - Red  Umbrella Fund

The definition of participatory grantmaking itself merits further explication and conversation in the field, because it exists as a spectrum of engagement. At its core, the idea of participatory grantmaking recognizes that lifting up the point of view of stakeholders in the populations a funder seeks to serve can usefully inform strategic decision making. This dine around is about the meaning, intention, entry points, and practice of participatory grantmaking.
